I flew into Newark on Monday morning. (I experienced my first red-eye flight. Yay). I've spent all week going back and forth to Target, trying to get my 8' x 12' room set up as functionally as possible. (Which was do-able, but expensive... What can ya do?)
I ventured into the city on Wednesday to sign some papers at work. (I don't start working until Monday, March 10th). Fortunately, my commute is VERY easy. The bus stops a block from our front door, and it's a short 10 minute bus ride into the city. (Via the Lincoln Tunnel). Then, when we arrive at Port Authority, I simple walk downstairs and take a 10-minute subway ride to Midtown, and I have to walk a whole 1.5 blocks to the NBA Headquarters!
Travelling in Hoboken isn't too bad. I took the bus to Target for only $2 each way, while a taxi ride is about $8 each way. Taking the bus here isn't sketchy at all. EVERYONE is in very corporate attire with fancy wool coats. (Not exactly your daily bus-ride on LTD in Eugene).
This afternoon I heard sirens and looked out my window to discover that the apartment building next to mine was on fire. About 7-8 firetrucks arrived, and they shut down the street. It doesn't appear that any huge damage was done, but it was weird seeing smoking pouring out of windows on the 3rd floor.
Well, that's about it for now! Feel free to post comments, just to say hi!

(Here's the view of NYC from Hoboken! Also, if you walk 1.5 blocks from my front door, you can see the entire Empire State Building at night! It's amazing!)
