Moving!

Well, it's official: I am moving AGAIN! I am staying in Astoria, but moving to a nicer place that's cutting down on my commute.

Seeing as to how I haven't posted anything to this blog in MONTHS, I realize that I have MONTHS of my adventures to document. I will be going back and giving overviews of my life since I last posted an update, and I will make a sincere effort to be better moving forward.

NBA Draft Lottery

So, today I spent the day at the NBA Studios in NJ for the NBA Draft Lottery! I got to hang out in the hospitality tent and saw D-Wade, Jay-Z, Larry Bird, Rudy Gay, Kevin Durant, and on and on and on. Not a bad deal. I got to sit in on the rehearsal as the "Blazers" sit-in to test lighting and such, so the pic's below of me on the official stage!


















P.S. I am going to shoot for retro-actively updating my blog with pics from the Jordan Classic, Eric's visit, and other random adventures since my previous update in March. Don't worry! I will get to it soon! (And once I finish decorating my apartment AND get my camera fixed I will upload more pics of that as well!)

I MOVED!!

Ok, so I have been HORRIBLE about keeping you all updated lately. The quick rundown:

I moved to Astoria, New York last weekend! (Which is technically in Queens). So, I no longer have to take the bus to work!! Yay!!! I simply jump on the "N" or "W" subway and go straight to work!

I ended up getting a studio. (I went from 2 roommates to 1 to none). But, I am really happy it worked out this way. I am totally cool with having my own place. I've posted a few pics below of my new place and my neighborhood. It's a much more residential area than I was in before, so it's much, much quieter at night.

I'll send more updates and pictures soon! (My camera is broken and the flash doesn't work, so once I get it back I'll take better pictures of the area).

Week 4!

Well, I've been here almost a month now! Time flies!

This past weekend was really fun. I met some friends at church last weekend, and we hung out after work on Friday. It's nice to finally start getting connected with new people!

On Saturday, I went to the NY Auto Show with my friend Kara. Neither of us know anything about cars... But it was fun! I have no idea what car this was... But the doors open up! And it comes with stock 25-26 inch rims! After the car show, we met up with more friends at Brother Jimmy's, a cool place by Madison Square Garden that has AMAZING Southern food. This is the official North Carolina Alum hangout, so it was a great atmosphere to watch the big UNC game Saturday night! Well, that's about it for now! Hopefully more exciting adventures are on the way soon!
